Multiple Sclerosis clusters in families due to shared genetic factors, and therefore case contol genetic analysis provides a means to identify these factors which in turn will provide clues to underlying aetiology and pathogenesis. We have established this set of DNA samples from patients diagnosed by trained neurologists with an interest in multiple sclerosis according to recognised and validated clinical criteria.
