Mensa

The Mensa sample collection consists of DNA samples from members of Mensa, between 18 and 90 years with an IQ of 132+ (determined using the Cattell 3b IQ test). Participants were recruited from the North West by advertising in the North West Mensa newsletter. No control samples were collected. Ethnicity was not restricted.

DNA and phenotypes (IQ, health, personality, sleep, demographics) are available on approximately 500 participants.

Samples were collected under the leadership of Dr Tony Payton, Research Fellow, University of Manchester.
