The Parenting and Families Research Group (PFRG) aims to promote the health and wellbeing of families and children. We do this primarily by conducting research to establish the best ways of enhancing the skills and confidence of parents in order to improve parenting and prevent behavioural and emotional problems in children.
PFRG studies aim to establish the scientific basis of specific aspects of parenting interventions and dissemination. This includes rigorous evaluation of new programme developments. We collaborate with research groups working in similar areas around the world, as well as colleagues in universities and services across the UK.
If you are interested in any of our research, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. The PFRG is able to respond to requests from the media for commentary on parenting and families. Enquires about applications for postgraduate study with the group are welcomed.
