Trials need you! But not your feedback?

1st July

Today is the start of the Health Services Research Network (HSRN) conference. Ailsa and I have travelled to Nottingham to present a poster about the PACT study- measuring patient experience in trials. We were pleased (and challenged) to see the organisers requested cinema-style posters focusing on attention grabbing headlines (this is very different from conventional academic poster style).  Given that PACT is about patient-centredness we tried to rise to the challenge.

We want our poster to tell patients, the public and academic researchers about our work, so we thought it should be colourful, attractive and easy to read. A q-code links to the PACT website to make it easy for people to find out more. We produced an alternative version based on a famous book by Kafka. Is less more? Please let us know which one you prefer!!

We also thought it would be interesting to see if people found an audio version of the poster useful. Since partnership working is fundamental to PACT we felt this should involve both of us, so the podcast interview is the result. It was our first venture into recording and we’d love to hear your feedback so drop us an email!

Improving Trials by Improving Trials for Patients

15 April 2015

PACT team members Claire Planner (Research Associate) and Ailsa Donnelly (PPI lead) presented at the MRC North West Hub (Patient Perspectives Theme) event 'Improving Trials by Improving Trials for Patients' on 15 April 2015 at Liverpool University.

The presentation explored whether we should make trials patient centred and whether we can make trials patient centred. North West E Health has written a short summary of the event. Please contact Claire Planner if you would like a copy of the presentation
