Objectives
1. Define what we mean by a 'patient-centred trial'
2. Explore how we measure a 'patient-centred trial'
3. Develop guidance and standards to help people design and deliver a 'patient-centred trial'
4. Involve patients and the public in our work
What is PACT?
PACT stands for PAtient-Centred Trials and is a group of UK based researchers and members of the public working collaboratively to investigate the concept of patient-centredness in trials.
Preliminary work to explore this concept has been funded by the MRC North West Hub for Trials Methodology and supported by the National School for Primary Care Research.
What is the MRC North West Hub for Trials Methodology?
The MRC North West Hub for Trials Methodology Research (NWHTMR) is a collaboration between the Universities of Liverpool, Lancaster, Bangor and Manchester, involving experts in medical statistics, clinical trial methodology, pharmacoeconomics, sociology and clinical psychology.
