Blood Separation

CIGMR Biobank can provide a blood separation service.  Plasma and/or serum are separated from whole blood using our ISO 9001:2008 certified standard operating procedures in a Class II environment.

The processed sample is aliquotted  into storage volumes which are appropriate for downstream analysis; we aim to store aliquots which are accessed only once for analysis thus minimising freezer thaw cycles and maintaining the integrity of analytes.
