Modelling neuroplasticity
We use PDP modelling techniques to explore how cognitive functions develop and recover after damage. Much of our work has focused on models of reading recovery following stroke or deterioration following the onset of degenerative disease. Eventually we hope to be able to use these to make predictions concerning extent of recovery and to guide therapy.
