The Centre for Imaging Sciences is in the Institute of Population Health and based in the Stopford Building on Oxford Road (Number 79 on the campus map).

It maintains strong links with the School of Computer Science, and has three MRI scanners (two 3T scanners - at Salford Royal Foundation Trust and the NIHR/WT Manchester CRF - and a 1.5T at the Wolfson Molecular Imaging centre); two PET cameras at the Wolfson Molecular Imaging Centre along with a preclinical PET scanner and laboratory facilities; and a 7T preclinical MRI scanner in the Stopford Building; further information can be found at Imaging Facilities.

We have extensive collaborations with radiology and clinical departments in the university teaching hospitals.
