Teaching
Teaching and inspiring the next generation of doctors, nurses and scientists is very important and we are committed to showing how a career in the field of haematological cancer is an exciting career choice for the best graduates.
Undergraduate students in Medicine and Nursing regularly attend our clinics and rate this experience very highly. In addition, medical students can opt to undertake a 'special study module' in haematological cancer during the Medicine (5 year) MBChB course and this is a highly sought after attachment. Others choose to intercalate with MRes or MSc degrees and this has proved very popular and successful.
Postgraduates can undertake an MD/PhD or MPhil in laboratory or clinical aspects of haematological cancers and this is an area that we want to expand in current and future years.
