Research themes

Language Develoment and Disorders Research is organised into 4 main themes:

• Communication, language and sociality - development and evolution
• Specific language impairment (SLI)
• Social communication and pragmatics intervention research
• Phonological representations and developmental speech disorders

We are multidisciplinary researchers working to develop our understanding of the factors, processes and mechanisms involved in successful language learning and in speech and language disorders.
