Pericytes in mesoderm development
This area of research aims to define the role of pericyes as tissue specific resident progenitors, their origin, diversification and fate during fetal and post-natal development as well in regeneration during acute or chronic damage of muscle and connective tissues.
Current areas of interest are:
- Identification and characterization of pericytes specific genes
- Development of a double lineage-tracing mouse to follow pericyte fate in development and disease.
- Development of an ex-vivo organ culture for mouse uterus to lineage trace mesoderm progenitors with time lapse
