The Northern Congenital Hyperinsulinism - NORCHI

Clinical service is supported by clinical research in collaboration with the University of Manchester, Faculty of Life Sciences. The main aims of this research programme are to unravel the pathobiology and improve treatment options in CHI. The team have recently been awarded a grant from the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR)-Translational Research Collaboration (TRC) for Rare Disease to focus on deep phenotyping of CHI patients using metabolomics, epigenomics, pancreatic tissue electron microscopy and digital archiving.
