Food allergen information

Easy-to-understand, research-informed food allergy information from The University of Manchester.

Food allergy is a serious, potentially life-threatening condition, but simple, easy-to-understand information based on credible research can be difficult to find online.

We’ve brought together our experience of working on international research projects over 15 years to provide food allergy information for the public and those working in the food industry.

Many of these resources are based on outputs from the EU-funded EuroPrevall project, a suite of interconnected worldwide studies. Each section of the site includes links to the underpinning academic papers.

We also host the InformAll database, a comprehensive resource of 120 allergenic foods, which provides general information for the public as well as clinical data for researchers and clinicians.
