Suicide in Prisons

People in contact with the criminal justice system are recognised as being at high risk of suicide. Individuals in prison, including those remanded into custody, and individuals recently discharged are identified as one of the key high risk groups for suicide prevention measures in the most recent cross governmental strategy for preventing suicide in England.
